11 days until the picnic. So far, we have ...

Adults: 33 Children: 12 Total: 45

We could use a committment to bring more plates, cups and utensils - and a
couple of food warmers for the meat (thunder_monk has volunteered card tables
and warmer, but since he is coming all the way from Rolla, I asked him to keep
his offer on stand-by).

Did Barramus volunteer Bonz to cook the meat? :-)

Some of us are planning to meet at Castlewood this weekend to scout out the
shelter, the existing caches, a place to put a picnic cache and to work out some
other logistics.

It would be good to have an update on the plans for a kids event (nyisutter?
wow4mom?). I have been negligent in helping to find prizes for that event, so
please remind me again if you still need help. Time is running out and I'll run
to the store and buy the stuff out of my own pocket, if necessary.

There hasn't been any recent discussion that I am aware of regarding the placing
of a picnic cache. If I am not mistaken, wow4mom might have some Garmin swag to
donate to the cache. And your personal trinket donations are welcome. Whoever
is in charge of the picnic cache, please step forward and let us know what else
we need (wow4mom said she can donate a logbook).

wow4mom has investigated getting us some publicity. Nothing definite, but I
thought I would mention it here just in case we want to discuss what it means to
us.
