Glenn, you stick battery #2 into your left ear and battery #3 into your right ear. Then you stick ALL the rest of them ... Bernie

Ok, so i have a set of batteries in a vial, spares in my pocket, more in the packpack. When do I move the batteries from my pocket to someplace and now i have a pocket full of empty vials. This fear this will make my pants lumpy. How do you keep all the batteries in your pocket from rattling around? Does it matter which batteries go into vial #2? and should I color code the vials to match the different sets of batteries?

2300 mah, that is even better. For those of you that don't know (I've seen variations of the spelling) mah stand for milli amp hour. Translated it means how much current (ma) the battery can deliver per (h) hour. At any price, I would not even consider using throw away batteries. They will pay for them selves in no time. As Myotis would say, they throw aways are bad for the bats.
I have a system that works very well for me. I have 5 sets of rechargeables. Each pair is numbered from 1 to 5. I keep each set in a medicine vial. They are also numbered from one to five. I number them so the batteries get rotated. When I'm in the woods, I keep one vial in my pocket. When the ones in the GPS run down, I put them in my pocket and take the ones in the vial out and put them into the GPS. NEVER put a used pair into a vial. That way if a pair is in a vial, I know they are fully charged. I recharge them 4 at a time. I know this is kind of lengthy, but it might help some of the mentally challenged cachers that have such a hard time with their batteries. Bernie

Oops, my mistake they are not 2100.
They are 2300 !
Energizer brand.
I just bought them a month or two ago from Wal-Mart.
They were pricey for a 4 pack but the 8 pack was a lot cheaper per battery.
I'm thinking they were around $18 for 8.

Where did you get 2100 ma?
