Picnic update
I spoke with Richard Love, the park Ranger at Castlewood Park to confirm
that he had received my check for the shelter reservation. Yes he did
receive the check and we are all set for October 12.
Per the suggestions of a few geocachers, I talked with Richard about
Geocaching. Prior to our conversation, he said that he had never heard of
geocaching.
I explained it to him, while stressing our love of the outdoors and the
efforts we make to protect the enviornment and picking up trash. He didn't
see a problem but indicated that he would need to talk with his supervisor.
He seemed very surprised that several caches were placed in his park. I
also gave him the geocaching web site address so that he could investigate
the sport.
I invited him to the picnic and he sounded as if he will be there, so we
need to add him to the list of attendees.
