Bernie, From the Cardinals web site: No bags exceeding the maximum size of 16 x 16 x 8 inches will be allowed. All bags will be thoroughly inspected before they are permitted into the ballpark. A box template will be used at inspection points to make sure that bags and their contents fit without assistance. The Cardinals have set up bag inspection points at Gates 3, 5, 6, and 8. Anyone carrying bags into the Stadium shall proceed to one of these gates for inspection. All others guests with no bags to inspect may enter at any open gate. Please follow the instructions of the Cardinal Event Staff and exterior signs to direct you to the appropriate gate for entry into the Stadium. In order to speed your entry into the stadium, do not bring any more than what you need for watching the game. Your cooperation on this matter is greatly appreciated. The following items are prohibited from Busch Stadium * Bags/purses in excess of 16" x 16" x 8" * Hard sided coolers * Glass bottles * Cans * Laser pointers * Nets * Weapons/Fireworks * Alcohol * Air horns and other loud noisemakers If any of the above items are discovered at our gates, our event staff members will ask that you return these items to your vehicle. Prohibited items will not be stored at the gates or guest services. http://stlouis.cardinals.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/stl/ballpark/stl_ballpark_se curity.jsp I bring plastic water bottles in to ball games all the time with no problems.
