No denial here. The earth is warming a little like it has countless times in
the past. But one scientist says the CO2 is causing the temperature to
increase. Another scientist says the increase in CO2 follows temperature
increases instead of causing them. I just try not to get swept up in all the
hysteria. Like I mentioned already, the wackos were telling us an ice age was
starting in the 1970s among other dooms day predictions over the years from so
called environmentalists. Far from being in denial, I actually think for
myself and don't just jump on every environmental bandwagon and blindly swallow
the current flavor of the month. What should I do? Go out and buy fluorescent
bulbs for all my lamps. (I do have a few now) My old incandescent bulbs are
made in the U.S. and are safe to throw in the trash. My new fluorescent bulbs
are made in China and state on the package they contain Mercury and to manage
in accord with disposal laws. Those of you so eagerly waiting for '08 certainly
don't want all our jobs going overseas and don't want me to pollute the
environment with mercury so I don't know what to do now. ;-)
By the way, I've always known the earth is round and not sure what you meant by
the weaker sex crack since, based on your username, I'm the same sex as you.

Can you say denial? I bet you also argued that the world was flat when you
were young (er) and in school (oh wait, did they let the weaker sex go to
school way back then?).

p.s. the website is hysterical. thanks for sharing. I agree that the carbon
credit is ridiculous but that doesn't make the debit anything less. let's not
let the hypocrisy of a few dilute the discussion of a serious issue.

Not me. The offsets are nothing but a scam, which I'm sure you already
know.
You should check out the site where I'm getting the stickers from. You can
buy a carbon debit and they'll execute a tree and turn it into mulch
quicker
than you can say "Save me, Al Gore!" :-) It never ceases to amaze me
how gullible most people can be to get sucked into fads like that. Remember
in the 1970s when we were entering the new ice age? And remember thousands
of years ago when the last ice age ended and the internal combustion engine
wasn't even a glimmer in the caveman's eye?
