Happy new year right back at ya.. From a Texan transplant to the great St. Louis Area. I lived in Katy Texas for 13 years and grew up in the Westbury area of Houston. Now living in St. Charles County here and love it! I can't hardly wait to go down to Texas to do some caching. My mother as well as all of my wife's family still live in the Houston area. I use to hunt in the Richmond/Rosenberg area. Close to the Brazos River. Pecan capitol of the US! Perhaps I will shoot you an email before we make a trip down there and you can recommend some great caches for us to do. Have a prosperous and safe New Years! There is at least one other SLAGA member down here, "Txsyank" (another former St. Louis area resident. My daughter ("nyisutter" of SLAGA) got me started in the sport and I am using it to occupy some of my time after retiring from Baker Petrolite in May. Many of my cache finds are in the St. Louis area while visiting "nyisutter" and family. I am also trying to catch up with "RogBarn" in Benchmark finds, maybe that will be easier now that he has a GPS and will finding and logging caches. I'm sure that his trail thru the snow to "larsony" (his first cache find) made it easier for those that visited it soon after him ("nuisutter" nows the time to find this one before "Rogbarns" tracks melt away). Here is the link to our Houston Area Geocachers Web Page: http://www.houstoncachers.org/index.html Be patient it is now under major reconstruction to be the Texas Gulf Coast Geocachers Web Page. (It is changing every day like the SLAGA page but I think it can't compare to the SLAGA Web Page - Thanks to konopapw for his design work that gave it a great start and to the new web page team of Island Dave, Glenn, dj&r (John), Barramus, and BruceS. I'm sure I have left out some but many thanks to all of the new team for such a great page with all kinds of links, news, stats, ect. Thanks to all the sponsors of the caches I have visited in the St. Charles and St. Louis area. I won't forget that cold windy November 30 day, when I walked to the top of "Expensive Real Estate" by BruceS. With the wind chill up there, it was difficult to enter all the answers to the verification questions in my Palm Pilot with gloved hands! One question was not enough for Bruce he had to ask for four. Meanwhile "nyisutter" who refused to walk to the top again was waiting at the bottom wondering if i was ever going to come back down. Actually I was trying to locate her "Tanks Bruce" cache to the distant north. HAPPY NEW YEAR and may all your 2003 finds be fun and exciting. motexoutlaw Ben & Pat Outlaw Rosenberg, TX
