Greetings to the group.

I go by the geocaching name of flatkatz(nothing malicious about the name
- it has been a handle for quite some time)

I have recently started geocaching and would like to know if anyone can
help me with the following...

1.) any recommended generic usb to rs232 cables that will work with a
garmin gps v

2.) has anyone successfully scanned a paper chart, georectified it, and
added or uploaded this as a basemap to a garmin?

I have enjoyed the caches from knowfuture. The geology lesson was quite
interesting, and the wife and I are looking forward to several of your
caches when we have some free time.
