Owen, Here is a list of geocaching api apps: http://www.geocaching.com/live/partners/ There are a couple apps on that page that were not previously mentioned and also a couple pretty cool at the bottom of the page for the computer. You might also be interested in a free iphone app called "Wherigo." Just type in "wherigo" in the app store. This is very convenient because it allows you to download cartridges straight from the website. There is a free app: "iGCT," this is really convenient for doing projections and simple decryption in the field. The paid version of the app "iGCT pro," has some really cool features for doing caches that involve intersections and shapes--blue bird triangle, pirates treasure. Also, the accuracy for taking coordinates with the iPhone 5 is pretty good too. I was out caching yesterday with some friends, we compared the Iphone 5 with the garmin 62s and a Dakota and the coordinates were all about the same. The ihpone is awesome for geocaching! -Ethan Date: Fri, 14 Jun 2013 09:05:11 -0500 Subject: [GeoStL] Best Geo-App For the iphone From: owen.curtis@xxxxxxxxx To: geocaching@xxxxxxxxxxxxx I thought the freelist experts could provide me with their thoughts on: 1) The best geocaching app for the iphone for me: 2) The best FREE geocaching app for the iphone, for friends who I introuduce to the (highly addictive - Strider warned me) sport of geocaching.
