I was wrong, the order was issued in 1996 and was turned off May 2,
2000. He probably knew it was coming.. I am trying to find some more
info to see if it was to happen sooner and there was a delay...

I think that the resolution passed in February and the otder was given
May 1st.

I love message boards.  It allows me to put my foot in my mouth in front
of many people at once.

 

The VIDEO showed Dave Ulmer creating the Stash on 4/3/2000.  He had the
insight to create the cache a month before selective availability was
turned off.  He didn't post the note on the Internet until 5/3/2000.
Selective Availability was turned off at Midnight on May 1, 2000.
