what the heck, we are up for any of the walks.. we still havent done any of the snuffy boxes, and most of the others mentioned here also. I think i still have the coords for the actuall spring but i can tell you where it is. On the corner of 40 & 94. (the rode that you turn onto to get to bushes wildlife and weldon spring conservation area. you have to 1.) either pull off the side of the road in the middle of traffic or 2.) park in the church lot that is just past the corner on 94. (headed AWAY from bushes wildlife and weldon springs area, its on the right side of the road) then walk along the road almost back to the corner. you will see some steps leading down into a ditch on the side of the road. strange place for steps?? right.. thats is where the actual spring is. gln ----Original Message Follows---- From: Barry Bryant <barramus@xxxxxxx> Reply-To: geocaching@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To: geocaching@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [STL Geocaching] 2-16, 17 Date: Wed, 13 Feb 2002 10:00:03 -0600 OK, I'm here now. So for the weekend, sounds like Paul is interested in Lewis Trail or others nearby there. Glenn, you sure didn't seem interested in doing that hike this weekend. By the way, do you think Weldon Springs cache is still there. ID said there was a burn there recently...he coudn't find it. And do you have a waypoint for the actual weldon spring ? It was the 2nd half of that cache. I was hoping to take a gaze at the spring. I want to do the Lewis Trail 4 sometime soon. Lewis Trail So Close.... There are a good number of caches in St. Charles county I haven't visited and I'd like to stay closer to home this weekend in order to do them. I have been told the hike on the L&C Trail can be strenuous, so I expect to get some exercise. Attached is an image from www.geocaching.com of caches in that area.
