We have had really productive discussions over the past few weeks, and I'm
so impressed to see how we're all focused on building an inclusive vision
for the Gaukel Greenway.
I'd like to propose a second meeting, where we can walk around Gaukel
Street together and move forward with our next steps as a group.
After our stroll along Gaukel Street, we can convene at a nearby cafe and
do some focused work together – whether that's setting up meetings with
staff and councillors, refining our proposal, or sketching out some design
ideas.

*Location:* Meet at the Fountain at the corner of Gaukel & Charles St.
Some things we should come to an agreement on:
1. Should we push for something to be implemented this summer?
2. What kind of cycling infrastructure do we want to see for each phase?
3. When should we present a delegation to council, and what should we ask
them to do?
I want to highlight some of the things that have happened since our last
meeting:
- Jonathan, an Environmental Design student, has proposed drawing up
visualizations of our concept for the greenway.
- Melissa is getting us on the agenda at the next Downtown Action and
Advisory Committee (meeting in May)
- We have been invited to present at the city's Development Committee
(April 30)
- Momentum Developments (Charlie West condo builders) are interested in
attending our next meeting and are supportive of the greenway.
Please reply to this message if you have anything else to share with the
group, or suggestions for our meeting on Saturday!
