*Project Highlights, Enhancements and Concerns:*
- Secured Campbell Monument Corp as the vendor for the project (warranty
provided)
- Assigned a project manager by Grambling State University
administration ( VP Brother Martin Lemelle)
- Structural improvements (materials), granite base, granite pillars
engraved with chapter initiation year and line names, porcelain base on top
of pillars with fraternity shield.
- Brotherly gesture towards donation is the “Chapter Invisible”
acknowledgement. Several lines (i.e. Fall50, Spr77, Fall77, Fall80, Fall82
and Spr85,) have adopted this practice. Please consider supporting this
trend.
- Made initial payment to diamond designer and construction has started.
- *There are brothers and lines that have not donated to this project
to-date (see list below), however we ask you to continue to support these
efforts and reach out to your line brothers to encourage them to support
the project so that Homecoming can be an eventful (delayed) celebration of
the chapter's 70th anniversary.*

General Concept: Diamond with rebar stabilization from one foot concrete
slab.

General Concept: Diamond with steel pin stabilization into a 6-inch
(height) granite base on an 8-inch (height) concrete (4000 psi) slab with
#4 rebar. Additionally decorative pillars with the coat of arms at the
slanted top of each pillar and each pledge semester/line engraved on the
pillars.
*Requirements Description: Concrete (11’L x 2’9”W x 8”H (depth)) with #4
rebar and top even with ground. Granite (pictured) will be 10’L x 2’3”W x
6”H (depth). Diamond will be made of steel and supported by steel pins
extending from granite base. Diamond is expected to weigh 500 lbs. Two
diamond pillars will be attached to granite and made of concrete, but
wrapped with sheet metal that will be engraved within scrolls by a Campbell
Monuments with each line in the Gamma Psi Chapter.*

July 19th - Diamond construction complete
July 24th - Diamond transported from Dallas, TX to Grambling, LA
July 27th - Concrete foundation poured
August 2nd - Monument installation begins by Campbell Monuments
August 16th - Installation complete; Request project completion approval
from university facilities
October 15th - Homecoming unveiling
