***This is a message from a member of Friends of Students for 60,000***

Hi: Here's a link to the Patch article about the celebration on Sunday.
http://huntington.patch.com/articles/community-garden-celebrated#
It was a perfect day-not too hot, not too sunny, and everyone showed true
community spirit, bringing food to share and just generally enjoying each
other's company.

White Post Farm, Wild by Nature, Jonny D's, Shoreline Beverage, Richter's
Orchard, Makinajian's, and Stony Brook University's Community Roots Program all
made contributions that made the day even more successful. Thanks also to
Heather Forest who told the story of Stone Soup and Brad Davidson who played
the bagpipes and then moved on to playing the guitar and singing.

Most of the organizing was done by David Sibek and Betsy Davidson, and they
deserve a big thank-you from everyone.

Regards,
Frances
