there was another sizable eruption yesterday in fact the largest yet.
what has been falling is not ash but a sort of clay-like substance.
the theory is that matter was washed into the volcano with the first rains and
blocked the vents causing the volcano to "sneeze"..
nuevo has not been evacuated at this point as they are outside of the 5km
radius by about 1km. (however are still in priority group a)
i am going to take a ride to nuevo today to see how things are.
if evacuation takes place people will be going to designated spots in leon and
malpaisillo. evacuations will be on a temporary basis.
at this point no forced evacuations have taken place only self-evacs of women
children and senior citizens.
