Good evening
The meeting's purpose is to discuss antisocial behaviour in the park which is
causing serious concern to its immediate neighbours. This was brought up at
the Friends' AGM and included:
- youngsters climbing on a rather unsightly shipping container that is used
for storage, but which backs straight on to neighbours' gardens;
- youngsters' noisy use of the park after dark (hence the wish to set up a
rota to open and close the park);
- toddlers encouraged to use the space between the boundary hedge and the park
fence as an informal loo which is visible from a neighbour's gardens and
kitchen window;
- and trespass by teenagers into a neighbour's garden, who followed their
eviction by throwing both abuse and bottles.
Best wishes

Hi Peter
Thank you very much for your email. Yes a meeting has been organised with the
local Community Support Unit and the PCSO for Thursday 2nd March at 1pm in
the St Johns's Park Bowls Pavilion. It would be great if you could also
attend.
Although I am leading the campaign to find local residents willing to take on
the responsibility of potentially locking/unlocking St John's Park, I am not
actually responsible for setting up this meeting. I believe it has been
organised by the 'Friends of St John's Park and Meadows' group. I have copied
them into this email in case the Secretary, Jennie Tait is able to provide
any further information.
I will be bringing with me to the meeting a growing list of local residents
who are not happy with the rise in antisocial behaviour in our park and who
have pledged to support our drive to return to having the park locked again
at night.
I look forward to meeting you on Thursday.
Kind regards,
Miranda Singleton

Hi Miranda,
I was given your contact details by David Clarke. I understand there is a
meeting on Thursday at 1pm regarding the problems with antisocial behaviour
in the park.
I am hoping to attend the meeting, if that is OK with you? Please could you
send me through any notes or agenda in advance.
