Present: Todd, Karren, Maribel, Brad, Tom.
Brad demanned. Todd and Karren tested systems. I showed Maribel how to
make Ethernet cables. We cleaned up a bit and put tools away although
there are probably still some on the tables and carts. Todd and I moved
a gaylord of steel to the recycle staging area and put a fresh gaylord
next to the workshop door. Karren had started to clear the HD deman area
when we quit. She planned to put everything in a box.
I received a prepaid mailing label from Dale so I can ship a box of PCBs
to our new vendor. I've made no progress on the Ubuntu repository. If I
have time, I'll do that next Thursday instead of coming to the workshop.
Or, I'll just take a night off.
Mike:
Maribel and I began add users to her FreeBox when the video began to
fail, and there wasn't enough time to fix it. I did swap the AGP card
for another; it behaved no better so there may be a mobo or driver
issue. I grabbed several PCI cards to try next; the PCI cards and the
two AGP cards are sitting on the computer. If I'm not at the workshop on
the 30th, please repair Maribel's FreeBox. To finish the setup, she
wants English logins for her nuclear family and one Spanish only login
for extended family. You might teach her how to add users unless you are
pressed for time. Maribel would also like a DVD player if not a burner
installed.
If you can give everyone an accounting of their hours, that would be good.
Todd, Karren, Brad and Maribel said they would be at the workshop next
week.
