Rick the problem with the free templates is that they only give you your front page and nothing else, the pay ones are of much better quality. Element is being worked on to make it into 1.5 but there is no date set for it as of yet. Which is a shame because I felt that was one of the better templates! There are some really awesome looking templates out there, but some of those require us to use adobe or other products with it which in turn would raise our cost of this endeavor upwards of 500-1000$ (AND THEY DO NOT TAKE FREE GEEK DOLLARS!) LOL With the choices down to Earth Blog and Relevant.. I still want to cast a #1 vote for Element. scratch 1.5 and downgrade to 1.0! lol JK I will cast my vote hopefully over the weekend.. my DSL connection at the shop is pure crap (hence my cancelling it today and going with Comcast!) Running a 1.0 template on a 1.5 site is possible but in no way easy. My suggestion would be only consider 1.5 templates Thanks, Fr. The dev group decided to narrow its focus to three professionally designed templates from Joomla Shack which we think are suitable for our web site and which use FOSS technologies. The three templates are EarthBlog, Relevant and Element. https://www.joomlashack.com/pro-joomla-templates/286-js-earthblog-template https://www.joomlashack.com/pro-joomla-templates/272-js-relevant-template https://www.joomlashack.com/pro-joomla-templates/32-js-element-template If you are interested in voting, please visit the Joomla Shack site and look at the live demo for each template and the specs. Then rank your preference from 1 to 3; one being your favorite. A preferential vote is called an Instant Runoff Vote (IRV). The template with the most votes wins. If there is a tie, possible although unusual in IRV, I will pick the winner from the tied templates. Joomla Shack template licenses cost $40 per web site. The Element template is not Joomla 1.5 native so Chuq sent an email to Joomla Shack asking whether Element works with 1.5, what it lacks in 1.5 and whether a native 1.5 template is in the works.
