I'm sure that SOME of these game would play on Freeboxes, but most of them require more Video muscle than we trend to give a freebox. I play "Chromium", which is Linux-"Native", and know that is is NOT quite stable with a 16MB vid card, with "Neverball" and "Neverputt" requiring even more than that (also Native)....and "Doom 3", "Quake wars", and "Unreal Touney" are all Full-Blown PC MMO Games....and would definitely require well over that much... and a high speed internet connection, to boot. --- On Wed, 10/7/09, Tom Brown <tbrown@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: From: Tom Brown <tbrown@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [frgeek-michiana] SuperGamer, 8GB of Linux-Only Gameplay To: "FreeGeek Michiana" <frgeek-michiana@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Wednesday, October 7, 2009, 8:17 AM Linux Journal reports SuperGamer, 8GB of Linux-only gameplay on a dual boot dual layer DVD with these *native* Linux games. I doubt they would play well on FreeBoxes, but it is worth a try. We know it would boot since its based on Vector Linux. "So much for gaming being a Windows-only adventure!
