We assembled 3 pallet rack shelving units last night; I think there is one more unit to go. Next week we will complete assembly and installation.
Our five man crew was busy. We had three manual pallet jacks in action almost continuously the entire evening, and two volunteers assembling shelving.
We debated briefly what to use for lumber so we can quickly transfer monitors from gaylords to shelves. As the shelves increase our vertical storage space and our total storage capacity and efficiency, they simultaneously reduce our floor space. It will be important to get the lumber decking in place quickly so we don't run out of floor space.
We may need to purchase a rolling ladder so we can access the upper shelves by hand.
