Who would like to serve on a committee to choose
the base distro for the lab server?
There will be research involved: gathering
background information and possibly loading a
short list of flavors of Linux on the server to
test actual installation, use and maintenance.
There are several hot-swappable drives on the
server so the committee should be able to test distros fairly easily.
I will not be on the committee.

Have we decided on what distro were going to use at the Sally for the LTSP server?
If by chance it's Debian, I'd like to borrow one of the 1g machines from the warehouse so I can practice installing LTSP on Debian and take some notes. Then of course at the live install I can teach everyone how it goes...
The only machine I have left at home that usable is an old K6-300 and that's already hardware setup to test the low-resource version of Debian (once I get my hands on it)
