Received a marketing letter yesterday from Ecoglass Recycling, Inc. They
are offering three options for qualified recyclers. I am not sure whether
Ecoglass is paying for glass or whether these options are our costs.
1. $0.02/lb. for panel glass 2. $1.00 per monitor 3. $0.08/lb. for crt tubes, funnel glass or televisions
Thought Free-Geek might want look into a little further.

Jay,
If you want some information from an industry leader for electronics recycling, please contact our recycler, Craig Lorch at Total Reclaim here in Seattle, <mailto:clorch@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>clorch@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx or 206-343-7443. Craig recently signed an agreement with three other electronics recyclers in Washington State with government to ensure that all that toxic/hazardous materials will be recycled here in the US and not sent over seas. Non-toxic items like the plastic casing for a monitor are able to go over seas, I believe.
We have been recycling our monitors, televisions and CPU's through Craig for a few years now and have been really happy with him. He is always forth coming with information about what is going on with the industry right now. I think he would be a great resource for you to learn how to de-manufacture monitors.
Please let me know if I can help further.
Sincerely, Tiffany Hatch Operations Coordinator Seattle Goodwill 206-860-5777 direct tiffanyh@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
