My daughter has an orchestra concert Thu. evening at Clay HS. I will open the lab at 5:30 and hang around until 6:30. Then I need to leave. I'll return at 8:30 pm to close the lab and rush back to the concert. I want to hand out flyers to families as they exit the concert. I'm a member of the South Bend Music Coalition. We're trying to restore the school corp.'s music program to excellence, not an easy task when the administration is slashing budgets and firing music teachers (10.5 full time equivalent positions this year alone). The lab agenda is same as last week: 1. Build one or more low resource FreeBoxes using salvaged parts and FluxBox window manager 2. Choose distro and applications 3. Load distro and applications 4. Set up standard desktop theme and icons Mike: I saw something about 16-bit vs. 32-bit pcmcia nics. Is it possible that your pcmcia nics don't match the drivers on this account? Mike: I downloaded the resource list from the IBM DeveloperWorks lightweight Linux article. I'll burn a cd today and bring it to the lab. Perhaps we can use either the HP Netserver or the new 1ghz server to compile the kernel.
