As JobKatif is beginning to wind down our work with the Gush Katif families, we
are starting to work with other “sidelined” populations with the objective of
finding them stable employment.
One such initiative is אחותנו את, a program training young Ethiopian women to
become registered hospital nurses, a profession that is sorely needed in Israel.
The students are all successfully completing their first year, and we hope to
expand it in the future.
As it’s still a pilot, this program is still under the auspices of JobKatif.
