By doing that you are bringing it down to a yes or no answer.
I have found it more effective to write a letter that opens up
opportunities for a conversation to develop, or to carry on a conversation
you have previously left open.
Yes or no is effectively no, unless the recipient goes out of their way to
say yes, and only then can you start making arrangements.
Get a yes on a shared conversation, then a yes on wanting to meet sometime,
then make a specific arrangement
