The third beta for Freeciv 2.6.0 is now available as source code for
download.
This is mainly a bugfix release. See the full change list from beta2 at
<http://www.freeciv.org/wiki/NEWS-2.6.0-beta3>.
Relative to 2.5, Freeciv 2.6 includes a redesigned Qt client with
multiplayer features, experimental map scaling, a substantially revised
version of the civ2civ3 ruleset, a large hex tileset (Hexemplio), and
much more flexibility for custom rulesets. See more details at
<http://www.freeciv.org/wiki/NEWS-2.6.0>.
Download the source tarball from one of our mirrors:

(Windows packages should follow shortly at the same location.)
