Johannes,
You have to be sure that the last 2 digits are unique for all I/O on the CP.
The 2nd to last digit gets assigned from the baseplate switch settings and the
last is the FBM position on the baseplate. Any duplicates will get ignored upon
importing the controls into ICC.
You can keep all the FBM names the same when converting. This helps to
alleviate changing I/O block addresses and updating any drawings you may have.
What you DO have to do is modify the DEV_ID parameter. This is where the last 2
digits of the FBM MUST be unique for Baseplate # (0,1,2,3) and FBM Position
(1-8). As long as you follow that rule you should be good.

We are running CCS 9.5, CS 7.2 and FoxView 10.6 I'm going to replace a CP60
with a FCP280. (none redundant) Today the connection to FBM200 from CP60 is
with BNC to Fiber Converter which goes to 4 Baseplates with FCM10Ef which are
the then Chained to other Baseplates The first baseplate of the 4 Baseplates
with a FCM10Ef has an FCM Identification 011100 which gives first FBM 011101.
This Baseplate is chained to the second Baseplate with then gives first FBM
011111 The other FCM10Ef has FCM Identification 011200 011300 and 011400 My
intention is to do as described in B0400FA -Rev AR page 18 right side That
means go from Fieldbus Channel 1 on the FCP280 Baseplate to a FCM/FBM 2
position Baseplate with a FCM2F2 installed.
From the FCM2F2 I will go to the Baseplate with FCM Identification 011100 and
replace the FCM10Ef with a FCM2F2.
I will repeat this for: Channel 2 to 011200, Channel 3 to 011300 and Channel 4
to 011400.
My question is will I still have the same FBM addressing as before?
