Jacques,
We've got a few AIN blocks with the following parameter values:
HSC01 50
LSC01 0
OSV 2.0
BADOPT 0
BAO 0
ORAO 0
This is a pressure instrument (reading vacuum) and it only registers in a low
range. Whenever the output reaches the HSC01 plus OSV, the field is green -
which is most of the time. Obviously the reading never exceeds 51. The
control methodology is set up to only use this block for pressure control
feedback when none of the ALMSTA bits that indicate a problem are set (B4 &
B10; Out of Range and Bad I/O respectively). If either is set, control
feedback automatically switches to a wider ranged transmitter.

Anyone know why seemingly random points would consistently illuminate

Out-of-service is always cyan as it should be but seven points in our
system decided they prefer green to red and I cannot find out why. I
checked Foxboro documentation and compared parameter by parameter in
ICC with other blocks in the same compound and it doesn't add up.
