Alex,
We like to use function blocks whenever we can but in our case using
blocks that we don't use often causes problems. Which really means I get
a call in the middle of the night because we need to make a change and no
one understands how to do it. Using ladder or simple steps in calc blocks
"usually" means no calls for me.
