Pat,
. tran appears to be something like transform. For example:

Layout - Flip - Horizontal gives ' . tran 1 0 0 0 1 -1 0' followed by a '.
 move'

Layout - Flip - Vertical gives ' . tran -1 0 0 0 1 1 0' followed by a '.
move'

Layout - Rotate - 90 gives '. tran 1.32679e-006 -1 0 1 1.32679e-006 0'
followed by a '. move'

It looks like '. move', '. scale' and '. tran' are some sort of matrix
transform that is applied to the co-ordinates (or further transforms) that
follow.

Dear list,

Does anybody know if documentation exist on the .g FoxView file format.

We're trying to see if it is feasible to convert Foxview displays (partly)
to Aspen Process Graphic Builder (.xlm format).

We succeeded in using FoxView displays as a background in Aspen and then
manually putting the IP21 tags on top. You can't see the difference and
what's more, there is a time-slider so you can look at your display,
displaying data from last year (very cool!)

More specifically I am looking for how coordinates are to be derived from
a
.g file.

I think I understand the . move and the . scal but not sure yet on the .
tran

If a full description of the .g file syntax would be available that could
save me a lot of time!

Any help highly appreciated!

Kind regards,

Patrick Martens,
