Weidmuller probably produced these as a special, which is likely why you got no help from the regular "sales" guys. Even my cross reference lists don't have the series 998400 through 998405. These were the result of a project requirement so they were produced by a Foxboro project team for that one project (or a few others as needed) as a custom. There was some discussion whether there should be a standard fused termination assembly in the I/A Series product line. Since the FBM10/15 outputs were designed with current limiting, there wasn't much need to provide fuses unless required by customer specification. Typically it was a local electrical code requirement. Not many were produced. PLCCenter lists some of these 998402 assemblies for sale new from factory. It might be worth purchasing one just for the documentation. You might try calling them first to see if they have stock and/or documentation. 800-332-4336 Thank you, Ken Heywood Calibration Laboratory Manager 401 Industrial Drive Plymouth MI 48170 http://www.processcontrolservices.com KHeywood@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Telephone: 734-453-0620 Facsimile: 734-453-6008 Wireless: 508-241-2040 PCS means Providing Customer Satisfaction -------------------------------------------------------------------------- PROCESS CONTROL SERVICES, INC. It's probably 10+ years old and looking at the original quote from Foxboro it's simply listed as "fused termination assembly". No Foxboro part number. What appears to be the Weidmuller part number is 998402. I've not had any luck with the Weidmuller web site and when I was at User Conference last September, the people with Weidmuller were no help. I ran across an email on the list dated 10/16/07 from James Ellis with a similar question for this device. Slightly different p/n but hopefully close enough to answer the wiring questions we have at our Clear Lake site. James, if you are still out there maybe you can help. If anyone has documentation for this device or knows where I can find it please let me know.
