Hi,
You could create an SQL query to the AIM database. You would need ODBC license
though. And this works only for reading values, not writing

As long as OM lists are properly closed, I think is more convenient using
omgetimp, omsetimp, since you wouldnt depend on historian.

Now with FoxAPI would be a different story, but I dont know how to do it.

Hello.
I´m using an IND block to execute a sequence that reads temperature values from
a moving thermocouple inside a reactor.
Then the IND executes an external VBScript that reads the values from IA and
creates a report in Excel, using omgetimp and omsetimp.
1) Can this VBScript be done using AIM*API instead of omgetimp and omsetimp?
2) How do I use AIM*API inside the VBScript to get/set IA variables?
3) Is it better to use AIM*API instead of omget/setimp? Advantages?
Thank you.
