Well, now that you mention ...

Fox 2/10 - bootstrap loader, of course, but also a 256 word (yup; didn't
know what "bytes" 
were back then) a 256 word debug program that ran exclusively on keyboard
interrupts and ran
in the background to a running process control system. 

There was no program development software available in the field, so in was
assembled with 
pencil and paper.

Those were the days ....
