After read your emails and talk with the Schneider guy I have:
1. EVO is the roadmap.
2. Wait for the next system version that include windows server 2016.
3. The IACC to IDE migration is easy. Some tasks can be less easier than IACC.
4. I can stay with AIM.
5. I can stay with FV, the tool to convert the graphics will be released next
year.
6. Use off-MESH DC. How can be?
7. Off course, upgrade the 100 series and CP40. Actually we are working on to
FCP270 and 200 series.
8. As say Joseph, for existing installation there are not much advantages.
We are working on the updated just because DELL does not have more computers or
spare parts for some computer, like power edge 2900, precision 390. Also, we
have R710 and T3400 and T3500. There are some options to keep our system
available?
Another questions:
1. What about the third party OPC connectivity? The Foxboro OPC looks me not
stable.
2. What about virtualization? Disregarding the AKB, can be useful? Can save
money now or in the future?
3. We are working on ISO5001, and have implemented some KPI. Which system do
you use for it?

First I would like to know why do you understand it as 2 options.
So some people consider EVO the "Wonderwarerized" version of IA
(Intouch-controlHMI,Archestra-IDE-FCS,WWHistorian)
and IA the classic Foxboro version of IA (Foxview,ICC,AIMAT)
I suggest an Hybrid as the go-to upgrade path:
Upgrade your DC and servers to 9.2 W2008 server Set up a Galaxy Repository for
the new FCP280s databases and hosting.
upgrade your CP40s to FCP280s
upgrade your FBM100s to FBM200s, you can go to compact 200FBMs Keep your
FCP270s - Upgrade EEPROM to the latest when possible - Migrate their DBs to the
GR if/when possible Upgrade AIM to the latest Upgrade your WPs to 9.2 W7
Of the "Wonderwareized" version of IA, GR is the only thing that is really
worth spending your money and go through the Management of Change pain. Its a
really good engineering and documentation tool.
I cant really vow for WWHistorian as I dont know the product enough, but if you
are curious and have the money, it might have some interesting features that
you'd want.
I dont think they will even offer you to go to ControlHMI. It will make your
project way more expensive, longer, and the benefit you'll get from it is not
worth the trouble. There are no tools available (they are working on it) to
convert Foxview graphics to ControlHMI so thats a lot of engineering hours in
redrawing and testing all your HMI displays.
