Tom: Yes one would hope the check point file would be saved on the AW's hard=20 drive but don't assume Foxboro will do this. Most customers run FT CP's usually only 1 of the CP's will fail. In the event of a single CP failure you just swap out the failed CP and the new CP gets all it's information from the running CP. You don't even have to break out the PDA/Letterbug configurator so I would hope the checkpoint=20 file would come from the running CP too. In the event of a major catastrophe were both FTCP's failed perhaps the procedure will be to initialize and loadall. One thing is for sure if this happened you would have to round up your PDA/letterbug configurator in order to give the pair it's assigned letterbug.=20 If the checkpoint file was also kept on the AW there would have to be a process in place to keep both checkpoint files in sync. But this is all speculation who knows the mind of Foxboro?=20 Perhaps someone going to the users group next month can ask. Also if you take a CP from one = location / letterbug and boot it as another CP letterbug the NVRAM would = need to be cleaned of its old database and be reloaded from a checkpoint = file from the boot host.
