Display Manager variables are created per DM/FV instance. The ones that can
be changed using pref - like PICK1, P1-P8, and DMCMD - are actually OM
variables whose names are:

<dmName><globalName>

For example,

WP0001PICK1
WP0001P1
WP0001DMCMD

Are the mentioned variable associated with a DM called WP0001.

Make sense?

To verify:

pref -yourdmname yourpickname

pref -DMNAME1 PICK1
pref -DMNAME2 PICK1

pick1 = CMPD:BLOCK.MEAS (or whatever you set the pick to)

other DM pick1 = <:.> (no pick set)

Display manager has a "relative pick" functionality, that we use (among
other
things) to provide operator dynamicly configurable trending.

I'd like to confirm that the values returned by this, are a property of the
display manager instance, and not per workstation, or CP. That is if I have
multiple display manager sessions running on a given workstation, the
values returned for these picks won't interact between sessions, right?
