You can submit one, but I suspect it would rank pretty low since it
would be regarded as a product enhancement request (PER).

Are you trying to show the before and after values when you change
SN0001? If so, the only thing that I can think to do would be to write
your own program to make the change and have it record something in
AIM*Historian in a custom message definition.

I do something similar for FoxCTS to add user information to the
standard OAJ message.

Not much practical help, I guess.

Thanks Alex,

Any change in sending in a CCR ;-)

Any other way of getting longer text, entered by the operator, in the
OAJ?

Regards,

Patrick

The OAJ message format is fixed. I doubt that they thought about
changing string variables when the message format was designed 20 years
ago.

Subject: [foxboro] OAJ and SNxxxx string lenght

Hi list,
Does anybody know if it is possible to increase the string lenght which
is shown in the OAJ when changing say SN0001 of an IND block and if so,
how to do this?
It seems to truncate these at 10 characters.

We update an msaccess database with aim odbc on a dailey base which
takes care for long term storage and make analyses fairly simple.

Kind regards,
