dbvu270 -e [...rest of command - see B0193JB. dbvu270 is for FCP270s
specifically. There is also just a dbvu]
-e gives a list of all compound-block errors on the CP (eg "W54 - ECB does not
exist" or "W65 - INVALID POINT ADDRESS"). If you extend your command from "-u"
to "-uer", you and all local ("u") and remote ("r") (peer to peer) connection
issues. There are a couple steps to follow for FCP270's to create a
"mapoffsets" file.
If you search "dbvu" on the Freelist there are lots of good past discussions.
One tip I picked up was to pre-populate this command for each CP in an .sh
file, so I can run one script to instantly generate these reports for every CP
on our site.

Subject: [foxboro] Need to determine a RIN block's status
Hello all,
I have run across an interesting problem, and was wondering if there is a
simple solution. I have an Allen Bradley ETHERNET/IP FDSI with many 100s of
RIN blocks in it. Over 4 years it seems the PLC code has changed, and some of
the controller tags were deleted. I need a way to find the RIN blocks that are
no longer working correctly. Sounds easy, but it is stumping me.
If I look in select the blocks are smurfed, however, if I use omget[imp] the
.BLKSTA, .ALMSTA, and .ERCODE on a good block, and a bad block, return the same
exact things, bit for bit. I can connect the block parameters to a CALC block
C:B.MEAS..BOD and determine which blocks are bad, but that would entail
building, or scripting in 100s of block(s) and/or connections.
Is there a command line tool that will return the status of a parameter?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
David Johnson
