I want to thank y'all for the good suggestions for my question. I apologize for not stating our DCS architecture in my first e-mail. La= st December, we installed I/A version 7.1 with CP60's and AW70's running I= ACC V2.0 at our site. Report from ICCPRT has all the I/O information I nee= d; but the data is not tabulated. I have tried manually extracting data f= rom the report. I, being a novice in Excel and in UNIX scripts, found the manual task very time consuming. I downloaded a copy of xref and a cop= y of FOXV. Will try them out on our development system. As for IACC: Is it possible to output the (integer and string) parameters I want from IACC? The EXPORT function in IACC only gives th= e options: IACC format or SAVALL format. The binary reports are no use= for my purpose. My brief scan of the IACC user guide does not show how to export certain parameters. You have an import function from a simple SAVE_ALL disk. Only "N/A" was generated for those= paramets in the report. In the getpars manual, it is stated that in general, 'getpars' does not support any 'string' parameters. What I =3D= try to achieve is to generate a table of block names, types, descriptions and their I/O address like FBM LIB and channel information for all CP's on = =3D our DCS. Has anyone tried to generate such table? It will be greatly appreciated if anyone will show me how to dump the data out. Thanks!
