Rick, Re: My biggest issue was that with their attempt at version control you can = only have one engineer busy in your database at any one time. For good or bad, this is exactly what the ICC does. Re: They have advised building a number of databases - one for each plant area - this would allow you to have a number of engineers working of different CP's. All good and well, but then the plant areas are invisible to each other from within each of the databases. This situation is the same as the ICC. Re: Far cry from the good ol' Solaris/Unix platform where every station could be in ICC at the same time as long as they were looking at different CP's. = I don't get it. With one CP per database you have what the ICC does. If you like the ICC, you should like IACC setup in this manner. The grouping of CPs into one database is not a requirement and, if it's not convenient, not done. The IEE is getting closer since it allows multiple people in the database, the database is larger, and if properly configured you can have more than one database on the Mesh network. The databases won't see each other so p2p points between IEE databases (Galaxies) have to be typed in, but this is still closer to correct.
