We have an old application running with Data For windows (AW51D) and a Pc (Win98). The old API version is 4.2.5. We have upgraded the PC to run under XP with AIM/AT Version 3.2. Nothing was changed on the AW51D configuration. The blocks worked correctly for two hours and stopped updating! I understand that the application run (during 2h) with API different versions: the datalink on the Pc And old API in the AW. My plan is to install AIM/AT-OPC on the PC and the AW. Will this be a good solution ? (the amount of data is about 400 tags, read/write between the Pc and the AW51D) Our software version is 6.1.1 Unix. But now, Can the old configured OM one-shot set work with Datalink in the Pc-XP ? Why it stopped after 2 h ? The block has no idea where the data comes from. You can do the same thing from an AW or WP with /opt/fox/bin/tools/omsetimp or through the block's detail display. Does this help?
