What version of I/A ? B style modules became supported at V6.2 The timing of the B style module release however occurred when many users were at V6.1.1 If at 6.1.1 only, you wanted to boot a B in place of an A you had to install a special romload_svr and have the OS1M3B image on the host AW. The romload_srvr would then identify module type (A or B) and boot the module with its' proper OS. All versions after 6.1.1, the sysdef capability then allowed the 30B to be configured as a B and the stated process is not needed. So if you have a 30B configured as a 30A....and expect it to boot.....then the host AW needs the OS1M3B image loaded on the host. If you are at IA 6.1.1, you would also need a special romload_svr which was only available in a mini kit. -----Original Message----- From: foxboro-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:foxboro-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Abdulwahed, Omar T Sent: Wednesday, August 08, 2012 12:29 AM To: foxboro@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [foxboro] Hardware Software Mismatch Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen, We have a failed gateway that we are trying to replace. When trying to install another GW30B, it didn't work. When we checked the system monitor, it showed us GW30A. In other words, we have a mismatch. The GW is physically 30B but has been configured as 30A. I would appreciate any assistance in how to resolve this issue.
