Hi Kevin,

I have seen this before if you have a OPCHDA license installed and you are
making DA calls. Make sure you don't have both OPCDA and OPCHDA licenses
installed.

If you enable connection logging in the OPC server you can see an error when
reading the license.

Subject: [foxboro] Foxboro OPC server AIMAPI problems

Hi all,
We're having fairly regular problems with our Foxboro OPC servers (version
3.3, off platform, either WinXP or Win2003) losing their connection to their
data collector AWs (AW51E, IA 6.5.6, AIMAPI 3.2.4).
In many cases, restarting the API and/or the OPC server does not fix the
problem.
Netstat shows the port status as BOUND or CLOSE_WAIT.

Anyone out there have ideas on what might be happening or how to resolve?

Regards,

Kevin
