Glad you found that, after reading your original text a little closer, I
now see that you were saying all the
objects were graying out , This would have eventually depleted resources
for that Foxview , seen it before.
There are some notes in the B0700FD-E and earlier that give guidance on
this. search for "usable drawing area"
SOL694 was also used in past to find and fix this.

It appears that the culprit was in fact a temperature measurement located off
page.
The display without this has thus far had no problem.
The one with this extra baggage grays out after varying periods of time.

I have a case open (that's where the QFs came from), so once again good advice.
I measured the CPU usage on S2003 with Full Redraw On:
- on local head an increase of 5-10%
- via RDP session an increase of 2%

When in FoxDraw with that display opened, if you do a select all does the
outlined highlighted rectangle stay in the viewable screen?
Your symptoms were sometimes seen when unknown objects are "off screen" which
can mistakenly happen with grouping and copy paste ..etc

I tried the full path name (replaced the .PRTYPE with C:B.PRTYPE).
This did not fix the problem.
I tried the Full Redraw ON with one display-- not on with another.
So far, the one with full redraw is ok.
The one without is not.
This brings up some interesting questions...
Why is this the only display in the entire plant that needs full redraw to work
correctly?
Full Redraw will update the entire display every time any object updates.
Is this inefficient? Should this be used on all displays or just the ones with
problems?
I read the synopsis on QF1262252 and agree it shouldn't help this issue.

QF1262252 won't fix the problem you described earlier but will be of great
help on Foxview RDP session
opening and Foxview RDP session lockups.
Additional polylines and polyshapes could have been added to Foxview
graphics objects depending on how your DM graphics
were converted to Foxview. Refer to SOL353.
Turn Full Redraw ON , see if that helps.

You are correct. These are S2003/S2008. I don't have any Win7 or XP to test on.
I will build one from scratch and see.
The one thing I did notice about the original object in FV is it came from DM
using a .PRTYPE.
Probably won't matter, but I filled in the C:B just to see if I get the same
behavior.
Also, it looks like my QF for FV10.4.1. may be superseded, so I'll try the
latest QF as well.

All Knowing List,
Problem:
A colleague using FoxDraw copied some Background Text that was connected to a
REALM block.
He pasted it back to the graphic, renamed it, and tied it to a different REALM
block.
He then copied the graphic out to the Operator Display.
With the display called up in FoxView the graphic after a time will gray out
completely.
It will then immediately redraw just the text that is updating.
As values update they reappear.
As you glide the cursor over objects that are pickable they reappear.
If you call up a Window from behind and then minimixe it, the area under the
Window reappears.
If you refresh the graphic it will completely reappear.
Background:
We are using FoxView 10.4.1 with QF1221213B.
It does it on V9.1 and V8.6 of I/A.
It does it on a thin client using RDP, a remote head using RGU, and a local
head using Matrox 9120.
This graphic was converted from Display Manager roughly a year ago and has
seemed to work fine since.
There's really not much to the object's configuration other than an action to
call up an overlay and updates from ALMSTA and PRTYPE.
Question:
Anyone seen this before? Any ideas where to look?
