I don't know if this has any bearing on the MODBUS protocol, but Invensys
made a major change in v6.2.1 of the Micro I/A software on the LSCO1's on
type J and K thermocouples connected to Allen-Bradley Remote I/O. This
change caused the thermocouples to read 20 deg. F too high after the
upgrade. They may have done something similar, such as re-scale the raw
counts or change some other critical parameter in the MODBUS software.
Double and triple check the ECB108 and ECB109 descriptions and the
appendices in the v6.2.1 manual, and compare them to the documentation you
got with the v6.2RA beta version, you may find some surprises.

Subject: Micro I/A Ver.6.2.1 MODBUS problem.

We have installed the new Micro I/A ver. 6.2.1 image at Lever Ponds
on
Saturday. All the analog feed backs we received from a Schenk PLC
(MODBUS
protocol) were incorrect. Sunday morning 4am, we had to re-load
Ver.6.2RA.
        This fixed the problem.

        WORK DONE BEFORE TESTING.
        1) SaveAll
        2) Initialize, reboot and LoadAll.
        3) Rebuild ECB109
        4) Check LONG_S in blocks FIIN and FIOUT

        SYSTEM CONFIG.

        *       1 X CLI

We need to know what to do to fix this problem, because the customer
does
not want to run a beta version.
