Joseph,
Did you try rebooting / downloading the parent FBM214b? I seem to remember
something like this when I deleted and re-entered a child ECB. Or maybe it was
on a ModbusTCP FBM232 (darn - they say memory is the second thing to go).
Also, be sure to enter the full C:B path to the parent ECB200. If the child
was created under the parent in IACC it should take care of this for you. And
be sure you do not use only six (6) characters for the child ECB201 name.

Subject: [foxboro] FBM214 Hart xmtr ECB201 parameter configuration
I have a client with FBM214s for Hart 4-20madc xmtrs, 8 on a specific FBM.
Channel 1 is bad so they removed a non-critical xmtr on channel 3 and moved the
critical xmtr from channel 1 to 3. Both ECB201s were deleted and a new ECB for
the critical xmtr was created and configured similar to all of the others
ECB201 on that FBM; note the DEV_ID is the Hart 4-madc xmtr tag name, same as
all of the other channels are configured. When downloaded the ECB is BAD; the
FoxSelect display for the ECB201 Device ID field is cyan. As we review the
block manual for ECB201 is states the DEV_ID - Device ID is the 6-character
identifier of the FBM. It is configured in the ECB201, and copied into the
DEV_ID parameter of every DCI I/O control block connected to this ECB201 when
the control block is validated. (A.K.A.
the FBM Letterbug?). But when we create a new ECB201 and try to enter the FBM
Letterbug the block fails and will not download.
All other Hart 4-madc xmtrs are configured with the tag name and work except
the one we moved (which is cyan), contrary to the what the block manual states
(FBM Letterbug). Which one is correct? And why would the moved xmtr
configured like all of the others now shows BAD for the Device ID field in the
FoxSelect display?
The fun never ends.
