Subject: [foxboro] Editing detail display buttons
I am trying to replace some buttons on a detail display, so that I can use
versions I made with different protection levels. For example, the AOUT detail
display will have an MA button with a higher protection level than the MA
button on AIN.
Since the standard FoxView/FoxDraw dd uses linked library object buttons, I
thought I could make a copy of the DD_MA.m1, change the protection level in the
new m1 file, then edit AOUT.fdf and drop the new MA button on it using Object:
Link from library. But when I do so, the button doesn't work. It looks like
it's coming in as a symbol with no configured actions. It does the same thing
if I pull in another copy of the original unedited button. How can I get this
to work? Is there a secret to using buttons/library objects with preconfigured
actions?
Thanks,
-Joe
