Hi Marcel
We are using Matrikon, Kepware, Applicom, PiiGab and ABB-Bomen OPC Servers
On Windows OPC Client to Windows OPC Server we are using Matrikon OPC Tunneller
to overcome the nightmare of DCOM.
But we are also using the FBM232 as an OPC Client to Windows OPC server.
We have integrated PLC's in Foxboro with Kepware and Applicom OPC servers and
FBM232 as OPC Client
We have Integrated NIR analyzer in Foxboro with ABB-Bomen OPC Server and FBM232
as OPC Client
In b0700bh_k it's described how to configure DCOM for AIM*AT and Kepware OPC
server.
It is a serious problem with the FBM232.
Luckily were are in control of patching but it could be a problem if we get a
new OPC Server from a vendor.
Med Venlig Hilsen / Kind regards

Hi dear valued Foxboro DCS users,
I know, this is futuristic stuff for all UNIX freaks here around 😊, but I'm
just curious if anyone here uses remote DCOM to transfer real-time values via
OPC between Windows based computers (any vendor, not only Foxboro or Schneider
Electric)?
If the answer is yes, I strongly recommend digesting the information behind the
