Hi Stan,
I've been running like that for a while. Two nodes connected together
with NCNIs.
Works a treat. Both side of the NCNIs have their own host.
Two things you have to remember.
NFD and CSA need to run on a 7.x host.=20

Cheers,
Frits.

Subject: [foxboro] Cross node communication

We are in the final phase of commisioning a Version 7.1.1 system on one
unit.
The architecture of this node is CP60's connected in classic Foxboro nes
conected to redundant fiber switches, the W{'s and AW then connect back
to the switches via fiber and RCNI's.

We will be adding another unit soon, that neds to share some data with
this
node. The presnt plan is to add thsi new unit to the same node. I'm
wondering
if it wouldn't be better to make this 2nd unit a different node? If we
did=20
this, what would our options for sharing control data between the 2
nodes be?

In addition we in the long run will need to share some control data with
an existing node that is a "classic nodebus" system that's at version
6.5
system, what are our options there?
