Hi,

=20 I had this happen to me a few years ago when I lost a hard drive on t=
he AW
hosting the CP.

=20 After restoring from a tape backup I found that there had been change=
s to
three CPs since the time of last backup tape.

=20 The most minor problem was that a few blocks had been deleted from a
compound between the last tape backup and the restore. The blocks were n=
ot
running in the CP but did show up in the ICC.

=20 I was able to delete them from the ICC and all was well.

=20 The worst problem was that I had added a few new compounds to another=
=20CP.
The compounds and their blocks were running in the CP but did not show up=
=20in
the ICC.

=20 I had to initialize the CP (wipe the memory clean) and perform a "loa=
dall"
from a saveall disk.

=20 This meant that the CP had to be off line for about 5 minutes total.
Other wise the CP and the running blocks worked just fine. I ran this wa=
y
for three days until I had the opportunity to take the CP offline.

Subject: [foxboro] Control Blocks missing in ICC Configuration

We are experiencing a problem in one of our CP where some new blocks are
actually running and showed in FoxSelect but they are not present in the =
ICC
configuration.

We can not delete them, because they are running OK, but need to back up
properly because we feel they will be lost if we reboot the CP.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
