The PIO bus physical layer is only IEEE 1118 so the physical connection is easy
enough, but they would have to reverse engineer the protocol, diagnostic
messages, high availability handling and you would have to address how to
update the modules when fixes to the firmware are required.

All in all, it's not that easy.

Thank you Russ
I think those solution will all require keeping the CSA and CP60.
The rumor goes that Rockwell could hook on to the 2 Mbps Fieldbus with some
converter and use the FBM200 IO Med Venlig Hilsen / Kind regards

As a colleague has reminded me....
FBM224 MODBUS was also an option...adding a Modbus prosoft card to PLC rack.

Dear list
We have a plant where 90% of the installation is Rockwell/Wonderware.
We have a small installation with Foxboro version 6.4 and 2 CP60.
The strategy is to replace the CP60 with Rockwell and Point IO.
I'm faced with a rumor from the plant that it's possible to reuse the
FBM200 with Rockwell PLC.
The rumor goes that 'Some retired engineer had done that on a plant in
North Dakota'
But I can't get a name or a Plant.
Have any of you any knowledge about that?
